Four steps

How to print a running log

  1. 1

    Start from this form

Opens on the running log: Month, Goal, if any, a table and the rest.

  2. 2

Put your own heading on it

Replace "Running Log" with a name, a business or a date range.

  3. 3

    Set the row height

18 rows at 6 mm fits more in; 14 mm suits a form filled in by hand.

  4. 4

    Print or save as PDF

How it felt, on the same day is the line to get right.

Who prints this

Anyone building towards a distance, and anyone who has looked back at a month of times with no idea why the middle fortnight was slow.

The field that decides whether it works

How it felt, on the same day. Written up a week later it becomes a number invented to match the time you already know.

Why it is laid out this way

One row per run, with the subjective column last and widest. Times on their own never explain a week, whereas slept badly, ran at noon, new shoes does. A month to a sheet keeps the comparison close enough to see.

What is on the sheet

2 sections, in this order: Month, Goal, if any; a table. Set the row height anywhere between 6 and 14 mm across its 18 ruled rows, put your own heading at the top, and find the running log alongside 3 other forms on the fitness trackers page.
