Why a paper list still beats an app

A paper list has a hard edge that a digital one does not: it is finite. When the page is full, it is full — which forces the triage that a list app cheerfully lets you avoid for eight hundred items. Crossing something out by hand is also more satisfying than tapping a checkbox, which sounds trivial and is not.

The other advantage is single-purpose attention. A list on your desk cannot show you a notification, and picking it up does not take you past your inbox.

Pre-filled checklists

Anything you do repeatedly deserves to be printed rather than remembered — a pre-flight check before publishing, a routine before leaving the house, an onboarding sequence for a new team member. Type the list once, print ten copies, and stop reconstructing it from memory every time.

Either. Leave the text box empty and you get a clean checklist with tick boxes and writing lines. Type one task per line and they are printed onto the sheet, so you can build the list on screen and print it done.

Up to 60 rows. In a single column, 20–25 rows keeps the writing space comfortable; two columns doubles the capacity but halves the width, which suits short task names.

They are ready-made lists for work, home and study that you can print as-is or edit first. They exist mainly to show the format — one task per line — and to give you a starting point when the blank box is intimidating.

Yes — set the layout you like and print several copies from your printer dialog. Because there are no dates on the sheet, a stack of blank lists stays useful indefinitely.

No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is stored — that is deliberate, because the point of a printable list is that the paper is the record.
