Returns form Template
Goes out in the parcel and comes back with it, with the reason ticked rather than written.
Four steps
How to print a returns form
- 1
Start from this form
Opens on the returns form: Order no, Date of order, Name, Contact, Items being returned and the rest.
- 2
Put your own heading on it
Replace "Returns Form" with a name, a business or a date range.
- 3
Set the row height
5 rows at 6 mm fits more in; 14 mm suits a form filled in by hand.
- 4
Print or save as PDF
Nothing, by you is the line to get right.
Who prints this
Any small shop posting goods. Including it in the parcel is what turns a return into a form you can act on rather than an email you have to interpret.
The field that decides whether it works
Nothing, by you. This one is filled in by the customer, so the job is making it short enough that they actually do: a tick list gets answered, an open box gets left blank.
Why it is laid out this way
Both the reason and the outcome are tick lists rather than blank lines, because someone filling this in at a kitchen table will tick and will not write. The item table sits above them, so the goods are identified before the reason is given.
What is on the sheet
6 sections, in this order: Order no, Date of order; Name, Contact; Items being returned; Reason; What I would like; a note. Set the row height anywhere between 6 and 14 mm across its 5 ruled rows, put your own heading at the top, and find the returns form alongside 3 other forms on the shop paperwork page.
