Planning
Weekly review Template
Twenty minutes on a Friday that make the following week noticeably easier.
Four steps
How to print a weekly review
- 1
Start from this form
Opens on the weekly review: Week ending, What went well, What did not, and why and the rest.
- 2
Put your own heading on it
Replace "Weekly Review" with a name, a business or a date range.
- 3
Set the row height
18 rows at 6 mm fits more in; 14 mm suits a form filled in by hand.
- 4
Print or save as PDF
What did not go well, and why is the line to get right.
Who prints this
Anyone who reaches the end of a busy week unsure what actually moved, and anyone running their own work with nobody else to ask.
The field that decides whether it works
What did not go well, and why. The other column writes itself; this is the one the next week is planned from.
Why it is laid out this way
Five open blocks and not a single box, because a review is written in sentences rather than ticked. The last block asks what to stop doing, which is the question that makes the sheet worth twenty minutes instead of five.
What is on the sheet
6 sections, in this order: Week ending; What went well; What did not, and why; Still open, carried into next week; The one thing that matters most next week; Anything to stop doing. Set the row height anywhere between 6 and 14 mm across its 18 ruled rows, put your own heading at the top, and find the weekly review alongside 3 other forms on the productivity forms page.
