How to convert gigabytes to megabytes

Multiply the number of gigabytes by 1,000. That is the whole calculation: MB = GB × 1,000. To go back the other way, divide instead, or multiply by 0.001.

Worked example: 12 gigabytes × 1,000 = 12,000 megabytes.
